Absolutely loved this place! Location was great for all hiking! Koya Kitchen is a must for food 🙂 and we even drove to welches and saw snow! We stayed in unit 12 and it was perfect. The property is so fast at responding to any questions you may have. I would definitely come back and stay here.
This was a great place to spend the night while hiking around Mt. Hood. They’re very responsive (usually within minutes!) which was great.
My daughter and I came to the area to hike the trails around Mt Hood. This was a great location that had everything we needed. Loved being able to do laundry after sweaty days of hiking. Great restaurants and little grocery store with all the necessities about a mile down the road. Would stay here again!
Nice amenities
Roomy attractive space with full kitchen. Older building and it shows. Right by the Hwy so kinda noisy and not any privacy for relaxing outside. Bed was just ok. Great location for hiking and seeing Mt Hood though.
This place is perfect for the basics - inexpensive, great location to hikes and snow sports, just the right amount of amenities. Has very good working AC and heating, hot shower, kitchen amenities. Netflix worked great.
Some more lavish bits could use some work - not especially comfy bed or any extra cozy pillows/blankets, lighting in kitchen and bedroom is pretty harsh/ sterile with no dimming function. Luckily enough table lamps to replace overheads. Appreciate a generally comfortable and inexpensive option in this pricey area. Hosts were responsive and very nice, though a request for more pillows/blankets went without follow up.
I would definitely stay here again
Mt. Hood
It was a cozy stay around Mt. Hood with close access to places to hike
This was a great place to stay while in town for a friends wedding. Would definitely come back to stay.
This location was exactly what we needed for a long weekend attending a wedding in Sandy. Cozy front room w/ full kitchen and basic bathroom and bedroom needs met! Because of a busy schedule once in town, we didn’t get to see much of the area but it checked all the boxes of our needs for our time there! Will keep it on our list if we are in need of another stay in that area in the future! Thanks!
We stayed here for a wedding at Mt Hood. Perfect little spot on the way up! Place was clean, WiFi and TV worked and we were allowed to check in early. Would stay again!
Great spot to spend a night for snowboarding!
Loved my stay here! Convenient place to go ski and train at Windells.
Honestly couldnt have asked for more. My mother came in from out of town and we just decided we wanted to go to the mountains and get away for a night. We were on our way with no worries for a 1 night get away with my wife, dog and ma almost instantly. Thank you so much and for a last second trip to Mt. Hood, I cant recommend anyone else!!
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay! The hosts were very responsive and the check in/check out process went seamlessly. It felt like a renovated cabin out in the mountain, exactly what we wanted!
Great place, great price!
Cascadia gateways was nothing but a marvelous host. We were able to stay at a very fair rate in comparison to other locations in the area.
All instructions were clear and felt very safe in the area. We hope we will be allowed to stay there again.
Thank you Cascadia Gateways for hosting us.
We really enjoyed our stay (as did our pup)! The location was awesome for hiking in Mt. Hood. We loved the new updated features of the motel and the remaining charm of the old motel.
We really enjoyed our stay here with our pup. Such a lovely space and super cozy after a long day on the mountain. Conveniently located at the base of Hood. Host was very responsive. Would highly recommend and happily stay here again!
Very cosy clean accommodation that was comfortable and spacious. Really enjoyed my time here
My first time visiting Oregon. Generally i felt like everything was pretty far from one another but there was a local grocery store and a park nearby and not too far from trillium lake and Portland which were a must! Very spacious as well, looks bigger in person compared to the pictures and the host was very communicative which I appreciated.
Place was lovely, clean, spacious. Came here for a three day trail run weekend and this was a great spot to call home, especially since I just need a place to crash and cook meals. The kitchen was lacking - there were no spices, no hand towels, and very basic essentials. But the bed was okay, the greenery surrounding the place was nice and it’s literally on Highway 26 so very accessible to other trails. Enjoyed my stay!
The place was clean and comfortable but overpriced for what we got. Only baseboard heaters which turned to max, didn’t really warm the place up with the freezing temperatures outside. We wanted to take a nice hot shower to warm up but when we tried to turn the shower on it came out as barely a sprinkle of water. We took a picture and video and shared it with Airbnb and the host and they agreed to providing the refund amount we requested. Overall, there are much better options in the area and we will choose other places over this place again. We were appreciative that they refunded us what we asked for so they at least provided excellent customer service. Hopefully they can fix the water pressure issue and provide more robust blankets for the bed for the next customers who choose to stay.
Should be stated that this place is a motel. I had people living right next to me, usually not a big deal but when on vacation and wanting exclusivity the last thing I want is loud neighbors.
We spent two nights at the Mountain Air Motel in January. While originally from the 1950s, the units have been thoroughly renovated and like new. Our unit was spotless with plenty of supplies, good lighting, and thoughtful details. Despite freezing temperatures outside, the inside was cozy and the water system allows long hot showers. Communication was fast and supportive, and the check-out rules very simple. Location is great - close to the Welches shopping mall - and safe. Proximity to US 26 does mean that traffic is audible in the main room, while the bedroom is quiet (of note, earplugs were supplied); the sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
nice clean and cozy spot.
We stayed two nights while visiting Mt Hood area. This was a spacious suite with plenty of extras. Very nicely renovated. Close to everything we wanted to see.
Nothing more to say about, I mentioned everything by answering the question.
Nice property
Add a great time there and would come back
Great place to stay! I really liked the kitchen, also it was really cozy inside
Clean and responsive hosts. Close to the mountain. A little noisy due to the highway in the living room but not too bad in the bedroom. Other than that had a great stay.
Cute & clean! More spacious than expected and the bed was quite comfortable
Positive: The staff texted to check in on us at check-in to make sure everything was to our liking. The place was very clean and had everything we needed and more!
Awesome place not too far from Mt. Hood. definitely recommend.
great location. enjoyed our stay.
Great place to stay near Mt Hood. Airbnb Description matches with reality. Additional heater for cold conditions.
it was cute.
Would go back 🙂
A very cozy remodeled motel with all the essentials and great location to access Mt Hood NF.
Great stay! They were very responsive and the air bnb was very clean and tidy. Would stay again if I’m ever that way!
Very responsive, clean & really homey.
The view at night and in the morning makes this place absolutely priceless! I loved sitting outside on the patio to see the stars and eating my breakfast in the morning and seeing the views of the surrounding trees! Very quiet even with cars passing by! Comfortable beds and couch! Super clean! Very cozy! So many local spots that are a simple 10 mins walk and a national park that’s just a block down! Definitely booking again!
Would gladly stay here again! It’s beautiful and close to the local attractions! Host’s were very friendly and welcoming!
Easy communication and check in and good base for exploring the mountain. The couch and bed could be more comfortable with some new/additional pillows.
Charming Cottage
Positive: The cleanliness, space and accommodations were very good. If I had stayed longer I could do some cooking in that little kitchen for sure. Parking right in front of you your room is always nice.
Negative: Nothing really bad to note, some guy behind me making noises at 3:30 am. The AC unit in the window probably allowed more noises to be heard than if the window was completely shut.
Everything was just as expected
Good location
Positive: The room was nice and had a kitchen,
Negative: When we arrived, we couldn't figure out how to get the keys. There was no office. We finally called a number we found and someone showed up and gave us the keys. This was my only complaint.
Was a short but peaceful stay. Hoping to be back again one day.
Very nice place! Has a lot of cookware and tons of blankets.
Nice Place
Comfortable and Convenient.
Easy access to local area.
