Place was great, pet-friendly, hot tub was awesome. Great place with a peaceful setting!

Lovely stay right on the ZigZag river! Hot tub was perfect for a cool night. WiFi is there for streaming services, not video calls on FaceTime (phone) or laptop Teams/Zoom (but don’t work in this beautiful place like I did!), speeds I clocked were 1mbps up and 5 down, no issues watching my fav reruns of ER. Dog friendly and you can’t even tell dogs have been there, so clean! They even have pet bowls if you forget them! The microwave busted first night there and they had a new one to me the next day, so responsive and really nice to communicate with!

Positive: Cute cottage with a nice lawn right on the river. Hot tub was excellent. Great place to stay with our dogs. Check in was easy and communication was great. Negative: Road noise, close to other cottages. That being said, we would definitely stay again. Water has sulfur smell but tastes fine.

We had a pleasant stay at the Property. Although we faced a few minor hiccups on our first day, the staff was incredibly responsive and resolved everything promptly. Overall, it's a lovely getaway but there are a few pros and cons to consider. **Pros:** - **Beautiful Location - **Clean and Well-Equipped:** The property is well-maintained and includes all the essentials, such as towels, laundry facilities, barbecue equipment, smart TVs, and toiletries. - **Proximity to Nature:** The river is just steps away, perfect for outdoor relaxation. - **Dog-Friendly:** **Cons:** - **Limited Privacy in Cabin 3:** Cabin 3's close proximity to another cabin means less privacy, as you can see into eachother’s spaces.

Overall not a bad place to stay, but definitely not if you expect privacy. We were unaware that we’d be about 10 feet from the next cabin with no fence or blockers, so we had to share the yard. Not great when both of us had dogs with one more reactive (doesn’t like new dogs; we brought them because it was advertised as private). Also, the hot tub is not secluded; the people at the cabin immediately next to you can see directly at it. Hot tub needed some cleaning, but was okay. Location was great next to the Sandy, which was nice, though not ideal to share a yard/only route to the water with a family with kids and dogs when we were coming out here specifically for a quiet, private few days. Disappointing about the advertising, but I can see this being an enjoyable spot for a few families to get together. Otherwise, not great for a couple wanting privacy.

Cute cabin with a beautiful view of the river! Easy drive to Mt. Hood Skibowl. Hot tub was really nice too after a day in the snow. Kitchen was well-appointed, and everything was clean. Overall positive experience! The top room is pretty tight. Our kids thought it was cool but if you’re an adult the room is really short, like an attic. And the stairs up to that room are pretty narrow and steep. I probably didn’t look at the pictures closely enough, but fyi. We still enjoyed our stay immensely!

Walking into the cabin late with jazz playing, Christmas tree glowing, and dry firewood next to the fire - was EVERYTHING. The peace we yearned for was there. We played boggle in front of the wood fire, and l found all the bakeware l needed for dinner. Cascadia was incredibly responsive too. It was stormy and very slippery on the deck, and they immediately bought heavy duty rubber mats. I felt really cared for. We had the property to ourselves until last night. Cabin 2 is 5ft away and windows face the hot tub and look into the living room. My family was uncomfortable in tub with them watching from kitchen, but they ended up closing all their curtains. as a known aspect. The shared yard is directly in front of cabin 3's porch.

My family of 6 & i really loved it. Very clean, very welcoming and comfortable. loved that it was by the river and had a hot tub. Host very kind and a fast responder. Will definitely recommend to people and will definitely book again in the future.

Lovely getaway for your family or friends. Lots of restaurants nearby, along with stores and other activities. Hot tub was great with a beautiful view of the river.

Cute little cabin near Mt Hood Our small family of 3 stayed here as a landing spot for a few days skiing at Mt. Hood. We really enjoyed the cabin - it is a simple cabin but was clean and tastefully decorated/maintained. Beds and supplies were fine - as expected for a rental that has regular visitors. Extra blankets were great as it was cold at night (and we don't like to sleep with the heat going). We cooked breakfasts and dinners to our liking and streamed movies in the evening from our Apple devices. We really enjoyed the hot tub (they supplied extra towels for the hot tub!) and the view of the ZigZag river from both the house and hottub. There's a hiking trail nearby that we explored during a brief stop in the rain, too.Perfect cabin getaway.

We enjoyed a week long getaway here with Cascadia Getaway's. The cabin was conveniently located 25 minutes from Mt. Hood, which was the main focus of our trip. If you plan on spending time in the city of Portland, expect about an hour in travel. The cabin itself was very clean and had everything you would need on site! The hot tub was a major benefit after spending all day on the slopes. Very quiet and peaceful location, with a beautiful stream flowing in the backyard. Wifi and all entertainment worked perfectly and they even provide enough wood for a fire in or outdoors. Parking is definitely limited to two spaces and the home is situated very closely to two other cabins, but neither of these were a burden. We definitely enjoyed our time spent here and would absolutely reconsider staying here again in the future!

Loved it. Got there late at night but woke up and saw the beautiful river out back. The neighboring cabins are close by, I was worried about potential privacy issues but those worries were not needed. Always had plenty of privacy. Ski bowl was 15 minutes away, grocery store open till midnight was 3 minutes away… great location, great host, had a great time.

Great place! Very peaceful and right on the river so close you can hear it! Clean and more space than we thought! Conveniently located with a short drive to both the ski lifts and nearby towns.

perfect location for rest and relaxation. We hiked Mt Hood and the Columbia River, and drove to Cannon Beach and Portland proper. This place was conveniently located and quiet. relaxing in the hot tub with the sounds and sight of the Sandy River was amazing. There is no dishwasher in Cabin 3 so be aware of that. It was no problem for us, but if we had kids with us, it would've been more annoying.

The view was gorgeous, and the house had everything we needed. You don’t have to drive far to hike some truly fabulous Oregon forests. The only drawbacks were that there is no dishwasher, no disposal, and the water tasted and smelled like sulfur. It was pretty intense. However, we tried to stay out in the gorgeous forests more than the house so it was a perfect homebase. We really appreciate the proximity to Mount Hood and the giant TVs for when our leg muscles wanted to give out. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We stayed at Cabin 3 for the night. Wish we would have had more time there as it was a very comfortable stay. Lovely riverfront property with adjacent (but not necessarily bothersome) neighbors. Great river approach, walkable and hikeable with time. Most definitely will be bringing the kids out some weekend in the future.

What a lovely spot to stay during the meteor shower!! A full working kitchen, a hot tub, a river view and a lawn to lay in and look at the stars -and a close drive to hikes & waterfalls. I would love to visit again. Everything was smooth with communication & check in/out. Really appreciated this cute stay. <3

Customer service was great! We did have some issues with the wood burning stove being cracked, but the hosts do the best they could to accommodate. The only other thing I will mention is, while the do may it very clear in the listing that this is one of a cluster of 3 cabins together, that they’re “still very private” …I would say more like moderately private if you’re next to nice people. Our neighbors kitchen window faced directly toward our hot tub, which did not feel ver private AT ALL. They very courteously closed their blinds, which was definitely appreciated, though not something we thought could be a situation in the first place. Last thing to be aware of is that it was impossible for us to find it when we got there (in the daylight) because we lost service the second we turned of 26, and every time we left and came back (definitely worse in the dark) it was the same issue. Maybe it’s just because we have AT&T, IDK, but just something to be aware of. Otherwise, the setting is idyllic an all the furniture is very comfortable — my husband wanted me to make honorable mention that out of all the rentals we’ve stayed at over the years, this has been his favorite bed (the King) and living room couch, which is high praise coming from him!

My husband and I enjoyed a week long trip with our dog for our honeymoon. The cabin was clean, in a beautiful location, and well stocked with games and anything we could possibly need. There's several restaurants nearby if you don't feel like cooking, but we were able to make delicious meals at the cabin as well. The hot tub was warm and the jets powerful. I've already shared this cabin with friends to come visit as it was such an amazing getaway.

My wife and I had a great stay. As another mentioned, the water smelled stinky. Other than that, we are planning to book again this winter. The location is great. The view of the river and morning coffee were relaxing. We’re returning mainly to use the wood-burning stove.

Super responsive and kind host! The area was beautiful and the sandy river was right there. The host setup the cabin with a a festive Christmas tree and had jazz music on the tv, giving us a beautiful welcome. However, there were 3 cabins very close together on the property, leaving no privacy. All cabins had their own hot tub, which was much appreciated. The property did not have much walking/hiking options and the property was very close to the windy road with cars speeding by. Overall the visit was a success and we were able to do most of what we had planned except explore the outdoors. We would come back again if only for a night, but would prefer a more private spot for a longer stay. Thank you Cascadia Gateways for your phenomenal customer service!

Really enjoyed our stay here! The cabin has riverfront access with a little beach, which can be seen from multiple rooms of the house. The hot tub was lovely to bask in and enjoy the colder weather while staying warm and comfy. The kitchen had the basic necessities for cooking a nice meal together, and it was nice to have access to a wood burning stove as well as a cute Christmas tree in the corner for the holiday season. The rooms were thoughtfully laid out and decorated. All in all the location was clean and comfortable. Before returning I would like to see a couple of things: newer mattresses — the largest has seen way better days. A thicker comforter for winter — it was quite thin but the host does have lots of spare soft blankets throughout the house. A little TLC — we noticed some details like the towel holder being very loose and shelves not hanging straight on the walls. A walk through with some attentive eyes and nifty hands could have this place go from a 4.3 to a 5/5 ❤️

Pros: Thanks for Christmas tree!!! This house is warm and cozy with beautifulviews. Its next to beautiful ZizZag river. Heaters work as supposed to. Dryer,washer are very helpful. Kitchen has everything, even salt. It has fireplace and woods. Second level, plenty of space for family of 10 if you bring cod or inflatable mattress with you. Lighting by jacuzzi was helpful. Lots of towels and bed sheets. Table outside on deck is nice. Firepit next to river. I want to come back during the summer. Parking lot is Good for two suburbans or three smaller cars.

This is a super chill place to spend a long weekend by myself. After a long day in the mountains, it’s wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the river right outside the front door.

Nice spot on the river. House was comfortable for me. Good communication from the host. The yard is shared and the hot tub doesn’t have privacy. I wasn’t expecting either. It was fine. Just a surprise. The road is quite busy with fast traffic. Just FYI if you want to bring dogs or young kids. Overall, I had a great stay and enjoyed sitting by the river.

Absolutely amazing! It was the perfect place for to have a little rest and retreat after a crazy busy summer. We had so much fun spending the day exploring the river then relaxing in the hot tub under the stars. My only regret is not booking a longer stay!

This was such a beautiful home that is well connected to nature. The owners were very responsive. Even when our microwave wasn’t working they brought up a whole new one in the middle of our stay! I will say parking was hard to spot in the middle of the night and might be limited. I recommend making sure you get there with day light 🙌 A majority of us chose to drive solo because of our schedules so I would say there was a comfortable 3 car space unless you would Tetris your vehicles BUT our gracious host allowed us to park in the lot of the home next door as no one was renting there at the time :) overall it was a great experience and these folks are flexible, friendly, and easy to get a hold of. I would love to stay here again. Also the hot tub is a fantastic plus! Cleanest I’ve seen at an Airbnb.

Great spot, beautiful surroundings - not much privacy with how close the other cabins are - you are very visible to the neighbor cabins windows while trying to enjoy the hot tub. Otherwise would have been 5/5.

This place was as described. It’s very peaceful and quiet. The hot tub was lovely to end our evening’s outside listening to the river. Breath taking sights as well! The TV is the master is a great size. The kitchen had what we needed for light cooking. It was also great to have the grill on the deck! We will definitely book this location when in the area again.

A few things to note: You can book this rental directly and avoid fees on this site, wish we knew ahead of time This company will contact you incessantly leading up to your date of travel. Too many texts and calls for my liking. We arrived at night: parking for cabin 3 is clearly marked, we just didn’t know which cabin to access since there are 3 which are closely situated and it was very dark. The stairs were very slippery in the wet weather and the solar lanterns on site were not emitting much light since there wasn’t much sun. Hot tub is nice & hot Both beds seem outdated & sunken in Heaters and indoor stove work well, wood included There was a noticeable smell upon entering: damp, musky, smoky. The bathroom smells of sulphur since the property is on well water. Cold tap water from kitchen sink is great for drinking though, no smell. There is no closet space, which I found odd. There are several drawers, but they are all occupied with extra linens and blankets.

We very much enjoyed this cabin, it was very peaceful during the day and quiet at night. The hot tub was such a nice touch, it was nice being away from the city but have a town with many stores not out of reach. It was fantastic and we will keep this cabin in mind for another retreat in the future.

Everything was wonderful! Looking forward to staying there again.

Fantastic place and wonderful host-administration. The place is beautiful and well-equipped. The location is prime, with a private view of the river and close to Mt. Hood. The host (Cascadia Getaways) was incredible in giving directions, suggestions, and answering questions. Strongly recommended.

Beautiful location and rental company responded via text within minutes anytime we had questions. Only downside is the yard is shared with 2 more of their rentals so privacy is minimal when you're on the deck or in the hot tub.

This is a great location if you want to be close to the mountain and are in a pinch. However it is a little bit of a drive and a little expensive for what you’re getting. We had particular trouble finding the place. Some more instructions would have been helpful. The address is not visible from the street. We strangely received incorrect instructions about WiFi and were missing key details about the driveway space (how many cars can fit there), considerations to make for icy conditions, etc.. the driveway was full of snow and ice and I shoveled the entire driveway upon reaching the place. I didn’t mind doing that but a heads up would have been nice. There was also no salt. That would’ve been helpful.

Had a wonderful time in the cabin. The host communication was great, the cabin was very nice.

The house itself was great— clean, cozy, and the scenery was beautiful. The location was a bit tricky to find in the dark but it was perfect for a peaceful getaway. Check-in instructions were easy. Like the other reviews it’s very close to another cabin, but it didn’t bother us. We stayed for two nights. The only issue we had was that the hot tube was not working and seemed dirty when we got there. The host was quick to respond and quickly sent someone out to fix the problem. The tub did not get hot enough by the end of the night, which was disappointing since we booked this place because they had a hot tube. Then to our disappointment when we came back in the late afternoon the next day the hot tub again was not working again. They offered a small refund (10%) and a late check-out after we asked for compensation. We got it restarted but gave up after 6 hours cause by then temp only got to 65 degrees. Other than the hot tub the place was great, hopefully they got it fixed.

The cabin itself was fine, just what we expected. However, the noise from Lolo Pass Road right outside the bedroom was ridiculous. The beautiful river sounds could not compete with the vroom of fast trafic as cars went round a curve.

Penny wise Pound foolish The property is nice but don’t plan on being able to cook. They are missing basics like a spatula. And there is no dishwasher which is no big deal but they don’t even have a drying rack. In hindsight I was penny wise and pound foolish renting this cabin. Should have spent more. But the owners are definitely penny wise, pound foolish. Furniture is cheap and uncomfortable. I wouldn’t stay here again and kitchen isn’t stocked properly. The property managers were amazing. Definitely would rent from them again!

I always check that windows lock at rentals. There wasn’t a kitchen lock on the window, it slid right open. But I notified them and they said they would replace it asap.

It’s a lovely vacation home, super convenient to enjoy Rhododendron and Mt. Hood! We loved hearing the sound of the ZigZag as we fell asleep.
